This clinical case highlights the use of high-quality materials, particularly our K-Bond Universal adhesive system and Aster composite from Kiyomi Dental.
Clinical case. Context:
A 39-year-old patient visited Dentalart Clinic with the need to restore tooth 3.5, which had previously undergone endodontic treatment. The initial assessment revealed a provisional restoration on the occlusal surface and a defective composite restoration on the distal surface. The challenge was to restore the tooth both aesthetically and functionally, matching the VITA A2 shade.
Restoration process:
- Tooth preparation: after isolating the area, the temporary and defective restoration was removed, revealing a CLASS II cavity with a distal box.
- Selective etching: the technique was applied only to the enamel to prepare the surface for optimal adhesion.
- Application of K-Bond Universal: our K-Bond Universal adhesive was applied throughout the entire cavity, followed by proper air thinning and light curing.
- Base with Aster Flow Composite A1: Aster Flow composite in shade A1 was used to form the base of the axial cavity and the interproximal box, followed by light curing.
- Finalization with Aster Enamel A2 Composite: the final layer was completed using Aster Enamel A2 composite, complemented with pigments for characterization, followed by light curing and meticulous polishing.
- Final result: the restored tooth showed perfect aesthetic integration and optimal functionality, highlighting the effectiveness of our products.
