I don’t use the thermocatalytic technique because I always use Kiyomi’s K-Dam gingival barrier to protect soft tissue when applying high-concentration peroxide. Regarding its utility, it’s a very comfortable and easy-to-handle composite.

K-Bleach 35% Clinic is a highly efficient system that, when used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, ensures greater yield. With a proper protocol, it further demonstrates its efficiency, effectiveness, and quality formula.
You also use K-Bleach 16% Home, Kiyomi’s at-home whitening product. Would you recommend it to your patients?
Whitening treatments are undoubtedly the most conservative and minimally invasive option available, but professionals need to execute them very well.
Low-concentration carbamide peroxides (10% or 16%) are the first choice for any patient indicated for this type of treatment.
As long as the whitening is done correctly (paying attention to every detail) and side effects are controlled from the first consultation, success is guaranteed through knowledge and biosecurity. That’s why low-concentration carbamide peroxides are the best treatment option at all times.
How long does it typically take for your patients to notice visible results with K-Bleach 16% Home?
The minimum time to see noticeable changes is approximately 6-7 days after starting the treatment.
How do you rate the neutral pH formula of K-Bleach 16% Home in terms of reducing dental hypersensitivity?
Currently, any high-quality whitening system must have a neutral pH within the first few minutes of catalytic mixing. This is a science-based requirement to reduce the prevalence and intensity of hypersensitivity. Therefore, using a whitening system with a neutral pH is essential today.
What specific instructions do you give your patients for using K-Bleach 16% Home?
I instruct them on the correct application of the gel, both in terms of amount and placement, always emphasizing proper oral hygiene before using the trays and indicating the appropriate application time. After the designated time, it’s important to rinse the tray with cold water.
I also advise them to maintain a proper diet, reducing their intake of citrus, acidic, and sugary foods. They should avoid consuming food while using the tray.
It’s crucial to attend the necessary follow-up appointments to ensure treatment success.
