Curing Light: Everything You Need to Know About KIRA

The KIRA curing light from Kiyomi Dental stands out as an exceptional tool designed to ensure safe results in every light-curing session. Today, we understand that many failures during this process may be caused by deficiencies in power output (measured in mW/cm²) and/or in the light spectrum emitted by LED photoactivation units, measured in nanometres (nm).

In this blog article, we will explain why our KIRA curing light is so special and why it is an essential device for your dental practice.

What Makes It So Special?

Let’s take a closer look at the standout features of the KIRA curing light:

  • Unique DETECTION mode, perfect for fluorescent materials and more.
  • Optimal collimation for deep and uniform polymerisation thanks to its head and lens design powered by smart chip technology.
  • 4 LEDs (3 blue LEDs and 1 violet LED) ensuring polymerisation of all photoactivators available on the market.
  • 360° efficiency with a flat head design.
  • Lightweight and durable.
  • Long-lasting battery.
  • Ambidextrous mode.

Curing Light: Ergonomic and Compact Design

Its ergonomic and compact design allows easy access to any area of the mouth, ensuring that the light beam is positioned as close as possible to the photoactivation area. This results in greater depth of polymerisation of the materials, guaranteeing optimal and safe results in every application.

Multiple Curing Options

The KIRA curing light features six operating modes, allowing you to select the most appropriate curing option for every situation:

M0, M1, and M2 Modes

These modes allow adjustment of the light intensity to 1,000 mW/cm², 1,500 mW/cm², or 2,300 mW/cm². In addition to high power, they provide a broad light wavelength spectrum ranging from 385 to 515 nm.

Ramp Mode

Gradually increases the light intensity during the first 5 seconds and then maintains it at a constant level, emitting a sound every 5 seconds.

Pulse Mode

Emits a flashing light intensity once per second and produces a sound every 5 seconds.

Detection Mode

Ideal for observing fluorescent materials and evaluating the depth of lesions, caries, and more.

Exclusive KIRA Mode

Perfect for observing restorative fluorescent materials, fissures, tartar, caries, and other specific applications.

Smart Technology

The KIRA curing light is equipped with an intelligent control chip that guarantees uniform and precise curing. In addition, its 360° head emits light through 4 powerful LEDs (3 blue and 1 ultraviolet) with wavelengths ranging from 385 to 515 nm, ensuring broad compatibility regardless of the material photoactivator being used.

Comfort and Versatility in a Cordless Curing Light

KIRA is an excellent option for professionals seeking the convenience of a cordless device. Its battery offers long-lasting performance and durability, providing enough power for even the most demanding treatments.

In summary, the KIRA curing light from Kiyomi Dental is the perfect solution for your daily practice. Thanks to its innovative design, advanced technology, and versatile operating modes, it delivers safe and reliable light activation results in every treatment.
